The Royal Family Kids Camp (RFKC) is an incredible opportunity to transform the lives of foster children who have experienced childhood trauma. The camp runs for five days, from August 7-11, 2023, and aims to foster resiliency, self-esteem, hope, and positive memories in the lives of these special children.
The curriculum and activities of the camp are based on Trust-Based Relational Intervention, which is a method that prioritizes healthy relationships, connection, and communication. By creating a life-giving experience for the children, the camp helps to restore their trust in adults and the world around them.
It's important to recognize that every child in the child welfare system has a unique story and face. When we pray for these children, we can ask for guidance on how we can come alongside to provide support and care. Through acts of kindness, volunteering, or even simply speaking up and raising awareness about the issue of childhood trauma, we can make a positive impact on these children's lives.
Let us keep these children in our prayers and work towards creating a brighter future for them through initiatives like the Royal Family Kids Camp. Our ultimate goal is to purchase and renovate a ministry building that will enhance our mission and extend our reach beyond Volusia County and Flagler County. Though we were not able to raise the $3.2 million needed to secure the building for the OneFamily Center, the vision remains unchanged. PenFL Foster Care Network
The Peninsular Florida Network has accepted the responsibility to care for 1,184 of the 23,667 children in foster care in the state of Florida. The revival of compassion in our fellowship is laying the groundwork to bring redemption to broken children and families.
We have a beautiful array of rural, urban, and suburban churches that are small, medium, and large in size. Not every church can find families to foster or adopt children, but every church can do something. Below are four areas of involvement:
